AIR FORCE HERITAGE FLIGHT UNVEILS 2018 SCHEDULE

This year the Air Force Heritage Flight Foundation is bringing its dramatic displays of American air power to more than 70 air shows around the world.
The program, which celebrates 20 years in 2018, pairs historic aircraft like the P-51 Mustang, P-38 Lightning and F-86 Sabre with modern fighters to showcase the past, present and future of the U.S. Air Force. This year, the modern A-10 Thunderbolt II, F-16 Fighting Falcon, F-22 Raptor and F-35 Lightning II will perform alongside their historic counterparts.
The Heritage Flight Foundation kicked off this season on the biggest stage possible – Super Bowl LII in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Steve Hinton flew a P-51 alongside two A-10s and an F-16 during the flyover, which was broadcast live on NBC to more than 100 million viewers. More than 500,000 viewers also watched a cockpit view of the flyover live on Facebook.
The 2018 season will take the team across the United States and Canada, with additional shows planned for South Korea and the United Kingdom. The final stop of the year will be at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada, home of the Thunderbirds demonstration team.
